I was drawn to illustration as a small child.
I showed aptitude for drawing and painting
and was fortunate that my parents encouraged my
creative side.
I started formal lessons in illustration when
I was 12.
At 16 I started studying various painting
techniques.
Although I enjoy working in color I prefer the simplicity of black and shades
of gray.
Illustration is meditative for me and I enjoy
the process of planning an illustration and then
slowly building the lines and shading until a
recognizable image is visible. I am a
photo-realist and have done extensive study of
photo-realist masters such as Hajime Sorayama and
Yigal Ozeri.
I was an early adopter of computerized illustration.
I got involved in the Internet Revolution
early (1994).
From this point forward the majority of my efforts have
been computer based.
I still try to do as many hand-drawn illustrations
as possible. I use Wacom digital tablets for
digital illustrations and am a graduate of Adobe's
Master Classes for Photoshop and Illustrator.
I’ve designed (literally) hundreds of websites for
companies and individuals across the globe.
I've developed brands, relaunched
brands, and provided supporting graphic materials
for marketing to over 120 different companies.
I accept commission illustration work and I am
always ready to help you develop the right visual
message or graphic to support your branding and
marketing efforts.
